Fluffy may think she’s invincible, but in truth, she’s actually very small, and is vulnerable to illness and injury. Keep Kitty In

We strongly recommend keeping cats indoors. Fluffy may really enjoy outdoor kitty sports, like chasing butterflies and refusing to come in when called, she can still get plenty of activity and stimulation indoors. As soon as cats sets their paws outside, they are exposed to many different hazards, such as weather, predators, cars, chemicals, and other risks. Kitties that are allowed to go outdoors also have much higher risks of getting lost, hurt, or even killed.

Do Some Petproofing

Never underestimate Fluffy’s ability to get into trouble. Make your home safe for your furball by removing or securing potential dangers. This includes things like wires and cords, small or sharp objects, and plastic bags and ties. Toxic plants are another concern. Microchipping

If Fluffy hasn’t been microchipped yet, we strongly advise getting this done ASAP. If she ever does get lost, that tiny chip may be the only thing linking her to you. Ask your vet for more information.

Many chemicals, such as lawn/garden chemicals, household cleaning products, and pesticides, are poisonous to cats. Antifreeze is one of the most dangerous, because it has a taste kitties like. Keep Fluffy out of the garage and/or any recently treated areas. We also recommend cleaning any spills immediately and putting cat litter on them.

Keep Up With Preventative Care

Stay current with Fluffy’s vaccinations and parasite control products. This will protect her from dangerous parasites and diseases. Ask your vet for specific advice.

Choose Safe Foods

Kitties can be very convincing little beggars. However, don’t let Fluffy’s cute furry face cajole you into giving her something that isn’t safe for her. Many people foods are toxic to cats!
