Easy Ways to Spoil Your Cat

Do you have a kitty? If so, you have an adorable pet! Cats are beloved animal companions, and it isn’t hard to see why. These charismatic balls of fur are full of cute quirks and adorable habits, and make fun, loving pets. It isn’t hard to take care of a cat: filling Fluffy’s dishes, changing her litterbox regularly, and providing her with proper veterinary care will take care of her basic needs. That said, we think our feline friends deserve to be pampered a bit! Read on as a London, ON vet lists some easy ways to spoil your kitty.

Beds

Our feline friends certainly are sleepy little furballs! Napping, as you may have noticed, is definitely one of Fluffy’s favorite pastimes. Offer your drowsy pet lots of comfy beds to snuggle up in. To really bring on the purr, make sure at least one of your cat’s beds has sunbeam access.

Toys

Toys are very beneficial to kitties. They keep Fluffy entertained, offer her a chance to let her inner huntress out, and promote physical and mental health. Make sure your furball has lots of toys to play with. You can get classic cat toys, like catnip mice or little balls, or go with something more high-tech, like a laser pointer or a robotic mouse. You can even download games for your kitty to play on your tablet or phone!

Playtime

In addition to giving your cat lots of playthings, you’ll want to take time to play with her every day. Use a toy you can control, like a feather toy or a laser pointer. Your kitty will truly benefit from the exercise. Plus, Fluffy will know you’re making an effort to amuse her, and will feel loved and happy.

Window View

Cats love to watch birds and squirrels. Give Fluffy a taste of the outdoors by offering her a good window view, so she can relax and spy on the neighborhood wildlife, and occasionally hiss or growl at passing strays.

Cuddles

Of course, the best way to pamper your cat is to make her feel loved. Talk to Fluffy, pet her, and let her cuddle up on your lap. As far as we’re concerned, kitty purrs are among the best things in life!
